Beethoven house in Bonn
On the 17th of December, 1770, Ludwig van Beethoven was born in this house.
Only two of his five younger siblings lived past their first year.
Caspar Anton Carl (1774-1815) and Nikolaus Johann (1776-1848) were always very close to
Ludwig. His father noticed his extraordinary talent at a very early age.
Beethoven lived and worked here as a musician, until 1792. Then he moved to Vienna where
he became world-famous.
